The Aldbury May Fair once again proved to be a special day for our village, bringing together residents,
families, friends, and visitors from near and far.
A heartfelt thank you goes to everyone who attended and supported the event. It was a tremendous
success, raising invaluable funds for our school, local businesses and charities. The whole day is a real
reflection of our traditions and what makes Aldbury such a unique community.
Behind every successful event is an enormous amount of unseen work. From months of planning to setting
up and running stalls, coordinating activities, and ensuring everything ran smoothly on the day, without
the time, energy, and commitment of all the parents and
volunteers, the fair would simply not be possible.
The event is also a fantastic reminder of how the whole village comes together. From residents moving cars, the Church hosting
fantastic charities, the Memorial Hall craft area, or the villageshop and pubs warmly welcoming guests throughout the day, every contribution helped make the day so memorable.
A special thanks also to our generous sponsors, the Morris Men, all the musical acts that kept us dancing, the Scouts, St John’sAmbulance, and the police for their help ensuring the safety andsecurity of the event. Last, but certainly not least, to all thechildren who joined the parade, danced around the maypole and
our May Fair Queen and King, you should all be very proud. I am delighted to say that we made the grand sum of £16,000 for the school.
Thank you again,
Tom Holton & The May Fair Committee
